FULTON, Ill. — Dorothy M. Bielema, 88, of Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home in Morrison, Ill. and formerly of Fulton, died Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Resthave Nursing and Retirement Home in Morrison.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Beidler – Pastor: Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, officiating. Visitation will be held at 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton.
Memorials can be made to Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton.
Dorothy was born April 4, 1925 in Fulton to William and Agnes (Reidenga) Bielema.
Dorothy was educated in the in the Otter Bluff Grade School in rural Whiteside County.
Dorothy was employed by the Burpee Seed Company in Clinton for 32 years.
Dorothy was a member of the Spring Valley Reformed Church in Fulton, the church’s Ladies Aid Society and served as a Greeter and Sunday School teacher.
Dorothy enjoyed needlework and the beauty of flowers.
She is survived by one brother, Donald (Beverly) Bielema – Orion, IL; five nieces and nephews, Sandra (Jon) Schalleen, James (Linda) Dykstra, Judy (Ron) Hans, Rick (Linda) Dykstra and Thad Bielema; nine great nieces and nephews, two step-great nieces and nephews, twelve great, great nieces and nephews and four step-great, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Evelyn J. Dykstra.
