FULTON, Ill. — Marian Rose, 94, of Fulton, died Monday, December 9, 2013, at Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, IL.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with the Rev. Philip Stel, pastor at First Christian Reformed Church, Fulton, IL. Visitation is from 1 p.m. until the time of the service, Thursday, December 12, 2013 at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery in Fulton, IL.
Memorials may be made to First Christian Reformed Church and Unity Christian Schools, Fulton, IL.
Marian was born April 7, 1919 in Fulton, IL to John and Tessie (Norman) Zeeryp.
Marian was educated in the Stone Street and Fulton Christian grade schools .
She married Cornelius Rose on September 26, 1969 in Fulton, IL; he died February 3, 2003.
Marian was first employed at the Toy Factory, then the Lock Shop, both in Clinton, IA, later the ICA Company in Morrison, IL. She retired from the former Patent Novelty in Fulton, IL.
She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, Fulton, IL and was active in the Dorcas Society.
Marian loved reading, playing the piano, and flower gardening. She also enjoyed cooking and baking cookies.
Survivors include one sister, Katherine “Tootie” Bielema, Morrison, IL; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius “Neil”; two brothers, Harold H. and one in infancy; and one nephew, Terry Bielema.
