FULTON, Ill. —

Carole D. Damhoff, 88, of Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton, died Monday, March 25, 2013, at the nursing home.
There will be no visitation. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. There will be a private family funeral service at the Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. The Rev. Scott Stephan, pastor of Second Reformed Church in Fulton, will officiate. Interment will be in the Fulton Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Harbor Crest Nursing Home in Fulton.
She was born January 11, 1925, in Luana, Iowa, to George and Clara (Nelson) Ziegler.
Carole was educated at Fulton High School.
She married James A. Damhoff on March 17, 1943, in Fulton; he died March 10, 1997.
Carole was employed as an executive secretary by Drives Inc., Fulton, for 28 years.
Carol was a member of Second Reformed Church in Fulton and served as a nursery volunteer for the church’s Coffee Break Ministry. She was also a member of the Fulton American Legion Auxiliary and Fulton Country Club.
Survivors include one son, James (Mary) Damhoff Jr. of Albany, Ill.; three grandchildren, Tanya Damhoff of Chicago, Ill., Tara Damhoff of Denver, Colo., and Torrie (Dr. Chad) Zambon of Menomonee Falls, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Kendall and Charlie Zambon; one sister, Jeri (Bob) Klavenga of Fulton; and two brothers, George Ziegler of Fulton and Robert (Carolyn) Ziegler of Albany.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim.
