Paul worked most of his life as a security guard at a number of facilities including the University of Iowa Hospitals for 18 years and worked a number of years at the Wild Rose Casino before retiring. Paul has always been an outstanding volunteer.

He was a Boy Scout Leader, especially enjoying the camping aspect of Boy Scouts. He was a lifetime and very active member of the Eagles Club. He enjoyed singing in high school and the Acapella choir and participated in the Messiah. Paul became involved in helping plan his last few class reunions and especially enjoyed surprising peo- ple as to how much he had changed since high school.

He also became very active the last four years with AA and treasured his fellowship and friendships he found there. “Uncle Paul” was a dedicated and proud uncle to his two nieces. He had the amazing talent of picking out the perfect gift and was always very generous to his family throughout his life.
