SPRINGFIELD, Ill. — Lynn Rempfer, 66, of Springfield, died at 7:21 p.m. on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Memorial Medical Center.
Lynn was born August 23, 1947 in Clinton, IA, the daughter of Leonard and Ila Mae Cushing Bergeson. She married Kenneth Rempfer on February 22, 1969 in Clinton, IA.
Lynn graduated from Clinton High School and attended Clinton Community College. She had been employed by the Federal Government for 30 years, most recently as a Budget Analyst for the National Park Service at Lincoln’s Home. She was a member of three bridge groups and was most proud of her three sons and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth of Springfield; three sons, Ryan (wife, Sue) Rempfer of Springfield, Matthew Rempfer of LaGrange Park, IL , and Samuel (wife, Tarra) Rempfer of Williamsburg, VA; four grandchildren, Benjamin, Jackson, Anna, and Ila Rempfer; sister, Connie (husband, Larry) McDonald of Camanche, IA.
Family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday January 19, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home, 900 S. 6th St., Springfield.
The funeral ceremony is at 9 a.m. on Monday January 20, 2014 at Kirlin-Egan & Butler Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
