Cheryl recently traveled many miles to Arizona to see her family. Cheryl should have stopped and turned back as she was not in traveling condition. But did she? Of course not! Cheryl carried on for that is the woman she was. Hell or high water, she was going to Arizona! She completed the journey and spent treasured time with her family. When Cheryl set her mind on something, there was no turning back.
Cheryl was equally passionate about coming back to her home in Savanna. She couldn’t wait to get home to her Savanna family and friends. All are comforted to know her final days were among her wonderful family and friends.
Cheryl will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Shirley Turner of Mesa, Arizona; five step-children, Michelle (Trey) Rodgers, John “Michael” (Michele) Reagan, John “J.D.” (Jennifer) Reagan, Patrick “Kelly” (Lara) McCombie and Tony (Curtis) McCombie; 7 grandchildren; three sisters, Sharon (Russ) Reinke, Mary (Jeff) Bell and her twin sister Sheila (Robert) Wargo; two brothers, Michael (Jane) Thompson and Randy Thompson; 7 nieces and nephews and 9 great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Gary; her second husband, John: two nephews and her step- dad.
