MORRISON, Ill. — Marilyn J. Roggendorf, 73, of Morrison, died Friday, January 24, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center North in Clinton, IA.
Funeral services will at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 30, 2014, at the First Baptist Church in Morrison, IL, with the Rev. Dick Adams, Pastor: First Baptist Church, Morrison, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home. Interment will be at Grove Hill Cemetery, Morrison, IL.
Memorials may be directed to First Baptist Church, Morrison, IL and American Cancer Society.
Marilyn was born March 3, 1940 in Morrison, IL to Clyde and Anna F. (Lyon) Betts.
Marilyn was educated in the Goose Lake Grade and High Schools, Goose Lake, IA. She married Victor L. Roggendorf on October 9, 1971 in Cordova, IL; he survivies.
Marilyn was first employed at the Clinton Garment Factory, Clinton, IA. She later worked at General Electric, Morrison, IL for 31 years.
Marilyn was a member of the First Baptist Church, Morrison, IL and served as Financial Secretary for many years. She was also a member of the GEM Club and the Red Hat Society. Marilyn enjoyed collie dogs and doing crafts.
Survivors include her husband, Vic; two sons, Wayne (Jenny) Betts, Schaumburg, IL, and Todd (Rebecca Burmeister) Betts, Morrison, IL; one granddaughter, Heather Blake; two granddogs, Molly and Sally; and special friends, Nancy Standard and her children; Jeremy, Jake, Destiny, Justin and Jennifer Standard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Rose Filloon.
