CLINTON — Thelma L. Bos, 83, of Clinton, died Friday, Aug. 16, 2013, at the Mercy Living Center South Harmony House in Clinton, IA.
The will be no visitation. Private burial will be at the Fulton Township Cemetery. The Fulton Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorial service will be at 6:30 p.m. Friday, August 23, 2013 at the Community Reformed Church, Clinton, IA, with the Rev. Bob Hoffman, Pastor: Community Reformed Church, Clinton, IA, officiating.
The family requests that memorials be directed to the Harmony House in Thelma’s memory.
Thelma was born February 1, 1930, in Fulton, IL, to Dennis and Helen (Decker) Foster.
Thelma was educated in the Fulton Grade Schools, Fulton, IL. She married William Bos in April 1949 in Clinton; he died October 13, 1997.
She was employed by General Electric, Morrison, IL until moving to California.
Thelma was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary and served as State Madam President 2004-2005. She enjoyed painting, sewing and doing various crafts
Survivors include one sister,Kay (Dave) Lawton, Thomson, IL; and two brothers, Arthur (Lois) Foster, Clinton, IA, and Richard (Barb) Foster, Rockford, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill; son, Randy Bos; two sisters, Eleanor Cooper, Loretta Gibbs; and one brother, Vernon Foster.
