Karen Richeal

CLINTON — Karen M. Richeal, 53, of Clinton passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the University of Iowa Hospitals. In following Karen’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Karen’s name to the Clinton Humane Society. The Pape Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Karen was born in Albany, Ill., on October 26, 1959, the daughter of Jim and Gertrude (Temple) Voss. She graduated from Erie High School and had attended Clinton Community College. Karen married Doug Richeal on November 1, 1982 in Clinton. She had been employed at Central Hydraulics, Kelly Convenience Store in Albany, Clinton Feed and Grain and at home as a Medical Transcriptionist. She loved pets and enjoyed arts and crafts and knitting.

Karen is survived by her husband Doug; her daughter, Kelly Richeal of St. Cloud, MN; her mother, Gertrude Voss of Clinton; brother, Kenneth Voss of Cincinnati; a sister, Linda (Bob) Talley of San Diego; and two nieces, Lisa and Laura.
