On Dec. 18, the Clinton Herald will celebrate its 150th birthday. Each Monday since Labor Day, we’ve been running full pages of historical retrospectives, including stories and ads from our old editions, one decade at a time.

As we get closer to the actual anniversary of our first edition, Herald staffers are busy getting ready to celebrate.

But we need your help.

We are looking for special people from our past — those who have subscribed for the longest amount of time, former employees and carriers who have stories to share about the newspaper and longtime employees and carriers.

If you fit into any of these categories please contact us.

If you believe you are the person who has subscribed the longest, contact Maureen Miller, circulation director, at 242-7142, ext. 111. We’d also be interested to see who has the oldest circulation bill or advertising tearsheet.

Those who have stories to share can direct them to Editor Charlene Bielema at cbielema@clintonherald.com, 221 Sixth Ave. South, Clinton, IA 52733, or can call Charlene at 242-7142, ext. 155. Charlene also will collect information from longtime employees and carriers so they can be recognized.

For more information, call 242-7142, ext. 155.
