Auxiliary’s hard work makes difference

Sat, May 17 2008

Every year, the Mercy Auxiliary works hard to conduct fundraisers and collect money to improve the health care offered by Mercy Medical Center and strengthen the nursing program at Clinton Community College.
This year was no different.
Last week, the auxiliary conducted its annual meeting, not only to discuss business, but to award three checks totaling $91,000 in all.
Those checks included $1,000 to Clinton Community College’s Paul B. Sharar foundation to be used for scholarships; $10,000 to the Mercy Health Care Foundation, for scholarships as well; and $80,000 to Mercy Medical Center.
That’s a lot of work, a lot of commitment and a lot of volunteering by the Mercy Auxiliary, whose contributions in the end make life better for us in the Gateway area through continually enhanced medical care and the education of those who provide it.
Thanks to the auxiliary for the important work it does.
