Congratulations to the A Cappella Choir

Pretty much every day on the Clinton Herald sports page, there are articles about achievements by high school students.
And every week, academic achievements such as honor roll listings and distinctions awarded to high school students are printed on our education page.
On Saturday we had the opportunity to honor a great number of students who excel at music — specifically the Clinton High School A Cappella Choir and two break-out groups — the men’s double quartet and women’s triple trio.
If you missed the article and photos on Saturday’s front page, the article detailed the accomplishment of the groups at the recent Heritage Festival in New York City: the choir received the only gold medal given to a mixed choral group at the festival and earned the Festival Sweepstakes Award for having the highest average rating of all schools participating in the festival.
The men’s double quartet received a gold medal and ranked second in the men’s choir division. The triple trio received a gold medal and were ranked first in the women’s choir division.
But best of all was the impression made by the choir on those it came in contact with throughout the trip. Many comments were received concerning the group’s good behavior.
We want to congratulate the choir members and instructors for their accomplishment and for representing Clinton well not only on the stage but through their actions as well.
