---- — In a meeting held on Thursday November 21, 2013, the Board of Directors of the Clinton County Historical Society (“Historical Society”) unanimously approved the following:
The Clinton County Historical Society opposes the construction of any building in Clinton Park. This park, which was platted in the original plat of the city dated November 10, 1855, should not be considered a suitable location for a building. The Historical Society feels there are a number of other suitable sites that could accommodate the proposed clinic.
The original plat of the city, which is on public display in the Museum of the Historical Society, established this park in the block bounded by third and fourth streets and third and fourth avenues as shown in the excerpt below.
