READER'S LETTER: Moore merits another term

Letter to the Editor

CLINTON — Please join me in supporting Brian Moore for re-election to the Iowa House of Representatives.

As his clerk during the past two years in Des Moines, I saw firsthand his commitment to working for his constituents and with legislators from each party to make Iowa a better place to live.

This past year he managed passage of the Volunteer Firefighter and EMS personal tax credit bill, which had been proposed for years.

He worked with fellow legislators to help secure additional funding for the Department of Agriculture, after numerous cuts in recent years.  He supported implementation of the Iowa Public Information Board to provide citizens more access to Iowa’s public information.

He worked with Senator Tod Bowman in meeting with DNR officials to reach a compromise to reopen the Maquoketa Caves.

And he helped constituents with more personal matters in areas such as public health, worker’s comp and taxes.

Brian is a consensus builder and both physically and literally “stands out” in a crowd.

People reach out to him for his ability to engage effectively with constituents regardless of their political affiliation.

We need to re-elect him to another term.  Please vote for Representative Brian Moore, District 58.

Bruce Droessler,

Maquoketa
