Reader: Help children with autism to have a better life

The Clinton Herald

---- — The Eagle Club of Clinton, with all of the Eagle Clubs of the state of Iowa along with the entire nation and Canada, has reached out and helped people in need.

Our motto “People Helping People” and deeds speak louder than words. This consists of raising money for many organizations like Make-A-Wish, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, childhood diabetes, disabled veterans and all children affected with cancer. Hoping for a cure from all the research hospitals including the Iowa City hospital.

This year’s project for the Eagle Club of Iowa is providing special, trained assistance dogs for children with autism. Our Eagle Club project is being held from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday at 224 S. 2nd St. We will accept any donation of money or an item to be auctioned off to assist the Children’s Autism Fund.

If you would like tickets to this event call 242-1174 or 243-8984. These children with autism should have a better life for themselves because they have a great potential to do it. These specially trained assistant dogs can provide that for them. These dogs will change their lives forever. People who are into charities, clubs, churches, business and family relationships should say to themselves, “Deeds do speak louder than words.”
