Another six miles brought me to Yale, where the warm temperatures were starting to take a toll on some riders. This was evident by the fact that after Yale, a 15-mile trip to Washington Township, riders made two or three stops at roadside vendors instead of riding the 15 miles straight through.
Needing some quick energy at Washington Township, I noticed a vendor selling banana bread. I had two pieces and it was fantastic. Best food I’ve had on RAGBRAI this year.
After that we had a nice seven-mile trip into Perry, where we’ll spend the night as we prepare for tomorrow’s ride to Des Moines.
