Learn about storm preparedness at library

Congratulations to Amy Birtell, who is taking a position as director of the Eastern Shores Library System in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. The Eastern Shores Library System serves public libraries in Ozaukee and Sheboygan Counties, Wisconsin. Amy’s last day in the offices at Clinton is June 20. She will be available to answer questions until July 3 and begin her new duties in Wisconsin on July 7.

Minecraft free play for kids. On Monday afternoons from 1 to 3 p.m., kids in grades 6 and younger can come to the library to play Minecraft independently. There are no challenges or competitions, just fun. The computers will be available first come, first served.

Story time. Toddler Time will be held on Tuesday, June 10, at 9:30 a.m. The preschool story times will take place on Wednesday, June 11, and Thursday, June 12, at 10 a.m. The theme for all story times is Martha Speaks/Dogs! If you have questions, please contact children’s staff at 243-5436.

Afternoon Adventures. Join us at the library for Wacky Summer Afternoon Adventures on Wednesday, June 11, at 2:30 p.m. Each week enjoy a different adventure.

Chasing 4 Life Children’s Event. Kids (and parents) come to the Ericksen Center at 1401 11th Ave. North to learn about disaster preparedness in a fun and entertaining way from the Chasing 4 Life and Associates team. The program takes place on Tuesday, June 10, and runs from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Chasing 4 Life – Severe Weather and Severe Weather Safety. Robin Whitted of the Chasing 4 Life & Associates team will discuss severe weather and severe weather safety. Topics discussed include climate change, recent events in the area and around the country, severe weather safety from weather radios to home disaster kits and a look at what the future could hold with climate changes. This program for teens and adults will take place on Tuesday, June 10, at 6 p.m. Learn to protect yourself and your family with this informative program.
