YOUR COMMENTS: A thankful community

Clinton Herald

CLINTON — The Clinton Herald posed the question, “What are you most thankful for?” on our Facebook page at Facebook.com/ClintonHerald, and received numerous responses from readers.

Each day this week, we will feature responses to that question in anticipation of Thanksgiving on Thursday.

____

Adam Joens: I am most thankful for my new family and friends and for my wife that is always there for me.

____

Trish Taylor: I'm thankful for the roof over our heads. If it weren't for the YWCA, my daughter and I wouldn't have one.

____

Wendy Miller-Cuazitl: I am most thankful for my husband and the father of my children who after being stuck in Mexico for the last three years, is still trying to help me out financially with our five children. Although its very hard being away from each other for so long, it’s even harder on our children. It’s easy for some men to forget and move on, but not this daddy and husband...he's the best. I'm very blessed — five great kids and a wonderful husband that hopefully one day soon will be home with us.

____

Jessica Petersen: I am thankful of my new baby girl being a healthy and happy baby and I'm also thankful for my soon-to-be hubby being by my side through think and thin. Also for all the troops putting their lives on the line to keep me and my family safe and free.

____

Brenda Woody: Continued good health.

____

Lynsey Ullrich: I’m thankful for my wonderful fiance and our three beautiful children. I’m also thankful for my parents and family who have always had my back.

____

Sarah Peters: I am thankful I have my children. Without them, my life wouldn't have been so complete.

____

Lisa Jones: I'm thankful for my husband and our new little baby boy.

____

Renee Williams: Like everyone, I am grateful for my family and my friends. I have a husband I love, kids that I am proud of and grandchildren that I adore. I am also grateful to my employers, the Sisters of St. Francis. It's nice to have a job that I love. I am also grateful to Mrs. Borgman, who is my son's kindergarten teacher at Prince of Peace. She combines structure with kindness and I couldn't be more pleased. I wish everyone many blessing this Thanksgiving.

____

Ashley Muhly: While I am very thankful for my friends and family, I am most thankful for having the ability to travel the world. Traveling brings me so much joy. England, Germany, Italy, France, Czech Republic, Jamaica, etc...I just love to travel.

____

Bonnie Guilliams: I am most thankful for all the many blessings God has given me. Too numerous to count.

____

Thomas Nissen: My heart attack in June wasn't the widow maker.

____

Valerie Kelley: I am so, so thankful for becoming a grandmother this year. My granddaughter, Sophia Christine, was born in July. I'm loving every second of it.

____

Lori Johnson: I am thankful my sister came out of her coma and they found what she had. Now to a long recovery. God bless to my sissy...love you.

____

Laura Anderson: Grateful for good health, employment, a reliable vehicle, a safe and peaceful community, decent schools, tolerance, a warm home, running water, my silly family and furry pets.
