Let’s finish with a book review: Charlie Bone was an ordinary boy and happy to be so. He didn’t want to be endowed like his Grandma Bone. A mix-up at the photoshop sends a mysterious photo into Charlie’s hands, and he realizes he’s not an ordinary boy, much to the delight of Grandma Bone. She decides it’s time for him to attend the spooky, drafty Bloor’s Academy — thus begins “Midnight for Charlie Bone” by Jenny Nimmo. This entertaining juvenile book combines mystery with fantasy to provide a thrill ride for readers of both genres and all ages. This story will appeal to fans of Harry Potter because of similar elements, but the plot is unique to Nimmo and Charlie Bone.
