Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 10 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home for Annie Lou Cooley, 72, of Picayune, who passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008 in Picayune.
Burial will be in the New Palestine Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.
The Rev. Tim Mims will officiate at the service. Music will be provided by her granddaughter, Veronica Cooley and Mr. Jerry Cumberland.
A native of Picayune, she was a member of Chalmette Baptist Church. She worked as an assembly line worker.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Benton Cooley; one son, Troy Cooley; one grandson, Jason Cooley and one brother, Eddie Mooney.
Survivors include: her step-mother, Winnie Mooney of Waynesboro, Miss.; one daughter, Sandra Gail Mitchell of Picayune; one son, Robert Allen Cooley of Gladstone, Va.; two step-daughters, Sue Allmon of Sumrall, Miss., and Bennie Liner of Hattiesburg, Miss.; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Grady Mooney of Belle Chase, La.; three sisters, Letha Farmer of Houston, Texas; Hattie Mae Thompson of Seminary, Miss.; and Leona Lucas of Melbourne, Fla.; one half-brother, Drexel Mooney of Waynesboro; and one half-sister, Verlee Williams of Waynesboro.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2008 from 6-9 p.m. at McDonald Funeral Home in Picayune.
