A Clinton native will display a different kind of bicycle this week during a RAGBRAI event.
Eric Peters, a chemical processor, will ride in his 10th RAGBRAI this year.
But before he goes on the race, Peters donated a full-size bicycle made entirely of bottle caps to the Clinton RAGBRAI committee.

Bret Blocklinger, Peters’ neighbor, knew of Eric’s love of biking and made the recycled gift.
“It took only 15 hours and I used a Euro punch to put holes in the caps and threaded wire in the shape of the bike,” Blocklinger said.
Blocklinger had seen similar art at Brookfield Zoo and thought he could meet the challenge and make a bottle cap bicycle for his neighbor. Peters has loaned his environmentally friendly bike to the RAGBRAI committee for events.
It will be a feature at the Fun After Five event from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Candlelight Inn. Tickets are on sale at the Clinton Area Chamber of Commerce.
Approximately 15,000 bicyclists will descend on Clinton in July at the end of the annual RAGBRAI race.
