---- — CLINTON — Clinton Community College is asking residents to join the college in supporting the Marine Corps Reserve Toys-For-Tots program on Saturday, Nov. 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Dropoff will be held in the Learning Center parking lot across from the College, 1000 Lincoln Blvd., Clinton.
This campaign is to collect toys for needy children throughout America. Since 1947, Marines have fulfilled the dreams for millions of less fortunate children each Christmas. They do this by providing Christmas toys. A shiny new toy sends a message to a needy child that someone cares; that he or she hasn’t been forgotten; that the magic of Christmas hasn’t passed them by. You can help the Marines this year by dropping off a new, unwrapped toy during the collection drive at Clinton Community College.
The Student Senate will provide a hot dog and coffee or hot chocolate to everyone who brings in a new toy or makes a cash donation to the Toys-For-Tots Program. So come out and join B-rrry and B-rrronda Bear, Santa Clause, your local United States Marines, and the Toys-For-Tots of Clinton County Coordinators for this event. All toys and dollar donations collected in Clinton County remain in Clinton County.
