Retired teachers to meet Nov. 21

STERLING, Ill. — The Whiteside Retired Teachers’ Association will hold is final meeting of this calendar year at noon Nov. 21 at the First United Methodist Church, 501 Broadway Blvd., in Sterling.

The association welcomes all retired educators to attend whether they were employed by public or private schools in or out of Whiteside County. Not only are the meetings social occasions, but the unit strives to keep members up to date on important information regarding teacher pensions and other state-related issues.

This noon gathering will feature a buffet prepared by members of the church. The program for this meeting will feature well-known Clinton historian Gary Herrity. A business meeting will follow the program.
