SILVIS, Ill. - The Ashford women’s golf team wrapped up their second event of the spring on Tuesday, competing in the Women’s Collegiate Invitational at TPC Deere Run.
The Saints will be coming back to Clinton with a 10th place finish, carding a team score of 752 over the two day event.
Leading the way for the Saints was junior Taylor Stewart. Stewart, who is an Erie alumnus, took 30th place overall with a score of 182 (88-94). Senior Katelyn Gille was right on her teammate’s heels, finishing two shots back of Stewart in a tie for 32nd place with a score of 184 (94-90).
Junior Katie Thompson earned a tie for 35th place with a 186 (88-98) and freshman Andrea Strohmaier’s 200 (100-100) gave her a share of 50th place to round out the Ashford lineup.
