CLINTON — The Clinton LumberKings will open the 2017 season on the road, and much like this year, the LumberKings will open at Kane County.
The season begins April 6 with a four-game split series with the home opener coming two days later against the Cougars. That game starts a five-game homestand against Beloit.
Fans will get to celebrate the Fourth of July with the LumberKings this upcoming season, and the LumberKings will be hosting Burlington July 4-6 to close a six-game homestand.
The LumberKings have 15 home games in July after spending 14 games at home in May. There are 12 scheduled off days on the slate.
Great Lakes, who defeated Clinton in the Midwest League Championship Series, will return to Clinton on May 11 for the start of a three-game series.
