PARK VIEW — Clinton finished third Monday behind North Scott (199) and triangular meet winner Pleasant Valley (183) in girls golf at Glynns Creek Golf Course. The River Queens had a team total of 226.

PV’s Rachele Miller had a 41 to win the meet for her best outing of the season.

Clinton’s top golfer was Brittany Coppess with a 45, followed by McKenzley Morris’s 56-shot round. Other River Queens whose scores counted were Rachelle Susie’s 57 and Katy Fier’s 68.

Comets nip Indians

BELLEVUE -- Camanche’s Brody Lodge claimed medalist honors by two strokes, but Bellevue edged the Indians by the same margin Monday in a boys golf dual at Bellevue Golf Club.

Lodge shot an 8-over-par 44 to finish two strokes ahead of runner-up Jacob Till of Bellevue. Lodge enjoyed a two-shot advantage over Till on each of the first two holes, and each of them played the final three holes in 4-4-5.
