FULTON, Ill. — Rockridge utilized a strong first inning to defeat Fulton 11-3 Friday. Rockridge mustered five runs in the first inning.

Fulton head coach Kyle Miller said his team lacked preparation.

“We were flat,” Miller said. “We had an emotional loss vs. Morrison (Thursday), but we still have to come ready to play. We just got flat out outplayed in every facet of the game.”

Nate Fish garnered two of the Steamers’ three hits, while four Rockridge players manufactured eight of its 12 hits.

“Other than Nate Fish, we really struggled to hit,” Miller said. “We have to get a lot better before tournament time.”

Fish and Ashton Hutton drove in one run apiece.
