DURANT — Camanche’s Mickey Cochran belted a three-run homer and teammate Logan Hilgendorf cracked a two-run shot as the Indians built a 10-2 lead and held on for a 10-7 win over the Tipton Tigers in an Iowa Class 2A district quarterfinal Monday.

Leading 3-2 Camanche built a 10-2 lead with a four-run third inning and a three-run fourth inning. Tipton made things interesting with a five-run sixth inning.

The Indians’ Tyler Cozzolino hurled a complete game.

Camanche (11-17) will meet the Davenport Assumption/Durant winner Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Durant. The Assumption/Durant game was postponed Monday. Assumption is ranked seventh.

The winner of Wednesday’s game will meet either Cascade or Bellevue Saturday night at Durant.
