CASCADE — Sophomore Audrey Griffin led the way with a third-place finish Friday as Prince of Peace finished 10th in girls team competition at the Cascade Invitational cross country meet.

The Irish placed 12th in the boys race, led by Eric Sikkema in 33rd place.

Griffin finished in 16 minutes, 29 seconds in the race won by Alex Wilson of Mount Vernon. Katie Isenhour (17:24) added a 13th-place finish for the Irish in the 150-runner field.

“It’s a long course, a hard course and there are always strong teams,” Prince of Peace coach Dave Lawrence said. “The teams did all right. We got a little closer to Bellevue Marquette on the boys side.”

Sikkema finished in 20:25 for the boys and was followed by Isaac Jankowski in 64th place, Anthony Sinn (65th), Joe Schnier (66th), Konnor Lemke (84th) and Jacob Lehmkuhl (86th). Mount Vernon’s Connor Smock won the boys race.
