FULTON, Ill. — Fulton, the fourth seed, opens play today in the Orion Regional Class 1A softball tournament with a 4:30 p.m. home game against fifth seed Galva.

The winner takes on top seed Orion at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Morrison is the host of a Class 2A regional that opens today with Prophetstown/Erie playing a 4:30 p.m. game at Riverdale. The winner faces top seed Milledgeville/Polo at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Morrison, Ill. Morrison, the second seed, plays third seed West Carroll at 4 p.m. Wednesday. The championship game is at 10 a.m. Saturday.

Milledgeville/Polo closes with win

ASHTON, Ill. — Andrea Herin drove in four runs to support Keali Engelkens’ two-hit shutout as Milledgeville/Polo closed the regular season with a 17-0, five-inning victory against Ashton-Franklin Center in Northwest Upstate Illini Conference softball Saturday.

Engelkens struck out 14 batters for Milledgeville/Polo (25-2).
