ELDRIDGE — North Scott defeated Clinton 12-0 and 10-0 in a pair of Mississippi Athletic Conference softball games Monday.

Hallie Eller fired a no-hitter for the Lancers in the opener, which lasted three innings.

In the second game, the Lancers led just 3-0 through five innings before ending the game with seven runs in the sixth.

Whitney Miller and Sarah Graf each singled twice to lead Clinton.

“I was happy with how we hung in there during the second game,” said Clinton coach Renee Shovlain. “But it all comes down to our offense — we’re struggling in that area. Until we start putting hits together and scoring runs, we’ll just be putting more pressure on our defense.”

North Scott is now 6-2 in the league and 15-6 overall, while Clinton falls to 0-8 and 3-15.

The River Queens travel to Davenport North Thursday for a twin bill.
