CLINTON — The Prince of Peace Irish volleyball team overcame a Game 1 loss, winning the next three games in a 15-25, 25-19, 25-19, 25-18 Big East Conference win over the East Central Raiders on Senior Night at Central Catholic Auditorium Thursday night.

Prince of Peace’s Erica Ugarph put down a team-high eight kills and was 17-for-17 serving. Brooke Craig and Kylee Hyde had six kills apiece for the Irish (4-12, 2-5 Big East), with Kimberly Bertram adding five.

East Central got five kills apiece from Tessa Daniels, Bailey Gray and Samantha Lippens.

“The girls did a great job coming back after losing the first game,” Prince of Peace coach Stacie Kenneavy said. “In the past we have had a tendency to stay down once we get behind.

“It was our Senior Night, and I know that they all wanted to play well. It was a good win for us.”
