ANDREW — Prince of Peace pitcher Lauren Ryan tossed a perfect game as the Irish sailed past Andrew 27-0 in a Big East Conference softball clash Tuesday.

Ryan struck out five to help the Irish improve to 7-2 in the league and 16-10 in all games.

The Irish offense was also clicking, coming up with 16 hits while taking advantage of 17 walks by Andrew pitchers.

Katie Flood had four hits, including two doubles, and came up with five RBIs for the Irish.

Alyssa Kenney also had four hits and five RBIs, while Ryan added a double, two singles and five RBIs.

“Lauren did a great job in getting her first-ever perfect game,” said Irish coach Troy Dodd. “Our offense also had a nice effort.”

Prince of Peace plays at Midland Thursday.
