L-Kings score four in 10th inning to win

GENEVA, Ill. — The Clinton LumberKings erupted for four runs in the 10th inning to take a 6-2 win over the Kane County Cougars in the first game of their three-game series Friday night.

Trailing 2-1, Clinton scored once in the eighth and game went to extra innings tied 2-2. In the top of the 10th Engel Beltre scored on a wild pitch and Timothy Smith and Mitchell Moreland belted back-to-back home runs to give the L-Kings the victory. Smith’s blast was a two-run shot.
