CLINTON – The Mississippi Athletic Conference recently announced its all-conference softball teams and three Clinton players have been honored.

All three were given honorable mention honors for first-year coach Trina Reed’s River Queens.

Thornton was the team’s catcher, while Holt was the team’s No. 1 pitcher.

Bhakta was an infielder and also saw some action in the pitcher’s circle.

The River Queens turned in a 4-27 record in 2008 and an 0-16 Mississippi Athletic Conference slate
