DUBUQUE — Elliott Deering fired a one-over-par 36 to lead the Clinton River Kings to a second place finish at a Dubuque Triangular at Bunker Hill Golf Course in Dubuque.
Deering tied Dubuque Wahlert’s Steven Ihm for meet medalist honors with his nine hole round of 36.
Ihm led Wahlert to the team title with a four-person combined score of 150. Wahlert’s four scoring rounds all ranked in the top six individuals.
Clinton combined to score 164 to take second and Dubuque Senior had a team score of 172.
Clinton sophomore Jeremy Miller shot a 42 for the River Kings, while Brennen Roling and Christian Rowan each fired a 43.
Tony Balk (44) and Greg Heysinger (45) each shot non-scoring rounds for Clinton.
The River Kings are back in action today, when they will travel to Glynn’s Creek Golf Course to compete in the North Scott Invitational.
