GOOSE LAKE — Dawson Stoll buried six 3-point baskets and scored 27 points to lead Northeast to a 69-57 non-conference boys basketball win against Calamus-Wheatland on Saturday.
Braeden Hoyer added 10 points for the Rebels.
The teams were tied at 31 at halftime, but Northeast went up 45-42 entering the fourth quarter behind three 3-pointers from Stoll. He added two more in a 10-point fourth-quarter effort to help the Rebels (3-0) pull away.
Hunter Rickels led Cal-Wheat's balanced attack with 14 points.
Stoll was coming off a 16-point outing Friday when Northeast beat Mid-Prairie 70-45 in a River Valley Conference game. His total included four of the Rebels' nine 3-pointers. Hoyer also scored 16 in the win.
Irish boys whip Midland
WYOMING — Kaidion Larson scored 18 points and Patrick Mulholland added 12 on Friday to lead Prince of Peace past Midland 64-22 in a Tri-Rivers Conference boys basketball game.
Mulholland made three 3-pointers in an 11-point first-half effort to help the Irish build a commanding 47-17 lead. Larson also had 11 in the half, and Nathan Moeller scored all nine of his points before halftime.
Midland girls beat Irish
WYOMING — Drew Jensen scored 17 of her game-high 22 points in the first half to lead Midland to a 67-24 win against Prince of Peace on Friday in Tri-Rivers Conference girls basketball.
Mary Kuehl scored 11 points to lead the Irish.
