CAMANCHE — Two days before celebrating Senior Night, the eighth-ranked Camanche volleyball team defeated Bellevue 25-11, 25-8, 25-11 on Tuesday to remain undefeated in Big East Conference volleyball.

Chelsea Moore and Haley Pulse each had nine kills for the Indians (22-3, 6-0 conference). Pulse also was 16-for-17 serving with five aces.

Bellevue slipped to 9-13, 2-4 in the Big East.

The Indians host their final dual match of the season Thursday against Calamus-Wheatland.

Preston rallies past Raiders

PRESTON — Emily Henningsen had 10 kills and Janell Johnson and Brena Smithson added nine apiece to help Preston come back after losing the first game and defeat East Central 18-25, 25-13, 25-21, 25-22 in Big East volleyball Tuesday.

Kelcie Bormann had 22 assists and 18 digs for the Trojans (16-10, 4-2 Big East), while Smithson had a match-high seven blocks.

Tessa Daniels led East Central with 10 kills.

BELLEVUE — Kelli Herrig and Stephanie Kramer finished in double digits in kills, and Audrey Sieverding had 28 assists to lead Bellevue Marquette to a 25-12, 25-20, 24-26, 25-19 win against Lisbon on Tuesday in the Big East.

Steamers improve to 11-3

FULTON, Ill. — Fulton split the statistics up well in a 25-11, 25-13 victory against Amboy in Three Rivers Conference volleyball Tuesday.

Lindsey Renkes had a team-high six kills for the Steamers, who improved to 11-3, 7-1 in the conference.

Galena trips Thunder

SAVANNA, Ill. — Galena won the decisive third game to beat West Carroll 25-16, 20-25, 25-16 on Tuesday in Northwest Upstate Conference volleyball action.

Becca Fritz led West Carroll (9-8) with 13 kills three aces.

DEWITT — It went down to the deciding fifth game, but Central DeWitt pulled out a 25-8, 26-28, 21-25, 28-26, 15-6 victory against Maquoketa on Tuesday in WaMaC volleyball.

DeWitt also won the junior varsity match 25-6, 25-14. Maquoketa prevailed in sophomore action, 20-25, 25-20, 15-11, and the freshman battle, 25-9, 25-5, 15-7.
