STILLMAN VALLEY, Ill. — Fulton won two of its five matches Saturday at the Stillman Valley Invitational volleyball tournament to close the regular season.

The Steamers lost 21-6, 21-11 against Rockford Lutheran, lost 21-14, 21-13 to Lena-Winslow, beat Byron 22-20, 21-9, beat Stillman Valley 21-16, 21-18 and lost again to Lena-Winslow 21-18, 21-13.

Brooke Huizenga led Fulton with 26 kills, with Emily Schipper close behind with 20, and Daekota Knott adding 10. Knott had a team-high five ace serves, while Kylee Sweenie and Kearston Norman added three each. Sweenie also was the leader with 27 assists, eight more than Huizenga.

Knott and Megan Bailey led the defense at the net with 11 and 10 blocks, respectively. Huizenga and Schipper each recorded 17 digs in the back row, and Kearra Kohrt finished with 10.

The Steamers open postseason play at 5:30 p.m. Monday against Prophetstown at the Bureau Valley Regional.
