CLINTON — The Prince of Peace volleyball team fought off North Cedar to take the win in a Big East tilt Tuesday night.

The home team won the match in four games (25-23, 22-25, 25-23, 25-22), taking advantage of six Rachel Ryan aces.

Kim Bertram tallied five kills and four blocks for the Irish. Ryan and Erica Ugarph contributed four kills apiece.

“We played a much-improved game. It was a close, hard-fought match,” Prince of Peace head coach Stacie Kenneavy said. “I was proud of the way the girls picked themselves up and didn’t let North Cedar have too many big runs.”

Prince of Peace travels to Olin tonight for a Big East Conference tilt. The Irish return home for a game with Bellevue Marquette Tuesday.
