MORRISON, Ill. — Cody Sanderson tallied more than half of Fulton’s points on Tuesday to lead the Steamers to their season’s 20th win.
Sanderson scored a career-high 30 points during Fulton’s 59-47 victory against Morrison. Fulton improved to 20-8 overall and 8-2 in the TRAC. The win avenged an earlier loss this season to Morrison.
Sanderson spent most of his time at the foul line, converting 15-of-18 free throws. He was sent to the line eight times in the fourth quarter, knocking down seven free throws in the stanza.
Fulton’s ability to get to the free-throw line created the biggest disparity between the two teams.
The Steamers were 20-of-24 from the line, while Morrison was 5-of-8. Three Mustangs had at least four fouls, while everyone but one Fulton player had less than three fouls.
Ben Brackemyer led the Mustangs with 14 points, while Britt Ottens added 11. For the Steamers, Tyler Bruggenwirth garnered nine points and Keegan Kloepping generated eight points.
