CLINTON — A two-run home run by Bralin Jackson propelled Bowling Green to a three game sweep in Clinton, as the LumberKings (23-35) fell 4-2 and saw their losing streak reach 10 games. Tyler Herb allowed a near season-high 10 hits over 6 1/3 innings, but just three earned runs, as Bowling Green left seven runners on base and ran into three outs on the basepaths.

Herb allowed four hits in the first inning, three in the fourth, and a pair in the sixth, and left the game after a single by Thomas Milone in the seventh. In his Clinton debut, Kyle Schepel got Riley Unroe to line into a double play to end the seventh inning.

Though Herb kept Clinton (23-35) in the game, the offense could not muster much against Henry Centeno (W, 4-2). The righty allowed just two runs over 5 2/3 innings and departed with two men on in the sixth. Edgar Gomez struck out Wayne Taylor to end the frame, as Clinton left the tying runner in scoring position in the sixth, seventh, and eighth innings.

Clinton got the lead-off man aboard in the seventh and eighth, and to third base with only one out in both innings. With Martin Peguero on third in the seventh inning, Arby Fields struck out and Chris Mariscal flew out to right field. With Chantz Mack on third in the eighth inning, Taylor Zeutenhorst struck out and Estarlyn Morales grounded out to second base.

Clinton went 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position in the loss and just 5-for-29 in the three game set against the Hot Rods.
