CLINTON — CLINTON — Playoff basketball continues this evening (weather permitting), with Class 2A and 3A regional first-round action beginning in Camanche, Bellevue and Goose Lake.

Here’s a look at the match ups:

• Camanche (14-7) vs. West Liberty (2-19). Camanche is led by guard Kylie Vogel, who enters this River Valley Conference match-up averaging 11.1 points a game (seventh best in the RVC) while the team scores an average of 41 a game. West Liberty opened the season losing its first 13 games before defeating Bellevue on Jan. 20. Their next win came 10 days later against Louisa-Muscatine.

• Tipton (5-17) at Northeast (Goose Lake) (16-6). Tipton had a hard time getting anything going in its Jan. 13 game against the Rebels, falling 55-14. Addie Oberman led the Rebels with 14 points that night, and leads the RVC with 18.1 points a game in a season that has included her reaching the 1,000-point milestone. Aleenah Marcucci is sixth in the RVC with 11.5 points a game.

The winner of the Camanche-West Liberty game will play the winner of the Tipton-Northeast game on Wednesday night in Camanche.
