Warriors spoil it for Indians


The Lions (14-21) scored five runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a lead they never lost. Then, after Clinton pulled within 7-4 with three runs in the top of the fifth inning, Linn-Mar scored six times in the bottom half of the inning to pull away.

Winning pitcher Maddy Ryan hit three doubles and drove in four runs to lead Linn-Mar, while Alexis Kelsey had a triple and a pair of doubles, scored three times and drove in three runs for the Lions.

The loss dropped Clinton to 3-19 on the season.
