A lone bright spot for the Mustangs came at the very end of their home game against Rockridge, when Austin Bird broke through the end zone on a 5-yard run. Otherwise, it was all Rockets, who won 41-7.
Luke Johnson returned the opening kickoff 82 yards for the first score of the game and from then on, the contest was in Rockridge's hands. The Rockets scored once more in the first quarter, and twice more in the second to make it 28-0. In the third quarter, Rockridge continued to pour it on, with Dalton Manus' 44-yard touchdown run making it 41-0.
Bird's score came with 2:39 left in the game. The Mustangs host Erie/Prophetstown next week.
