Junior Miss Stanly County Pageant winners named

Tuesday, November 3, 2009 — The Miss Stanly County Pageant Association has announced the winners of the 2010 Junior Miss Stanly County Pageant, a support pageant for the Miss Stanly County Pageant and Miss Stanly County Outstanding Teen Pageant.

The Agri-Civic Center Stage came alive Oct. 3 as 22 young ladies competed for the Junior Miss Stanly County titles. Age groups included ages from infants through pre-teens.

The Mini Majestic title was awarded to Chaney Kate Little, 1-year-old daughter of Michael and Ashlee Little of Oakboro. Chaney Kate captured this title winning the overall title from ages birth through 6 years of age.

The Majestic Miss title went to Rylee Helms, daughter of Chris and Meika Helms of Albemarle. Rylee competed in all competitions in the older division which included age 7 through age 12. Those competitions included: Beauty, Photogenic, Port-folio, Talent and Active Wear. She also won the Active Wear and Talent Award in her age division.

Layla Brown, 12-month-old daughter of Jamin and Janna Brown of Oakboro, was crowned the 2010 Baby Miss Stanly County. Jade Underwood was first runner-up; Leah Hartsell, received the second runner-up award. Photogenic Award went to Emily Huneycutt and Portfolio to Leah Hartsell Jatelyn Underwood. Emily Huney-cutt received a Princess Trophy.

Logan Marker was crowned Tiny Miss Stanly County; Logan is 3 years old and the daughter of Shane and Lisa Marker of Oakboro; in addition, Logan won the Portfolio award. Dixie King was named first runner-up and Blythe Whitley received the second runner-up trophy and also was named the Most Photogenic.

Sadee Lawhon walked away with the Crown and Miniature Miss Stanly County. Sadee is 4 years old and the daughter of Cory and Abby Lawhon of Albemarle. She also won the Photogenic Award in her age division. First runner-up was Shelby Hinson and second runner-up and Portfolio award went to Ashley Efird. Zoey Simpson took home a Princess award.

Adrianna Efird, the 7-year-old daughter of Bradley and Lori Efird of Oakboro, was named the Petite Miss Stanly County and also won the Talent Award. Brooke Seavey was named first runner-up, Most Photogenic and won the Portfolio award. Second runner-up was Bug Kippes.

The Little Miss Stanly County title was awarded to Rachel Moon, 9-year-old daughter of Chris and Terri Moon of Albemarle. Rachel also won the Photogenic and Portfolio awards. Emily Tucker was first runner-up in the Little Miss age division.

Charlie Kippes, 12-year-old daughter of Charles and Victoria Kippes of Oak-boro, won the Pre Teen Miss title. Kamry Whitley competed for the Photo-genic, Portfolio, Active Wear, and Talent awards and took home the trophies for those competitions. Kamry was first runner-up for the Pre Teen title.

Shyane Burleson, daughter of George and Darlene Burleson of Albemarle, was named The Signature Queen for the 2010 Junior Miss Stanly County Pageant.

The Miss Stanly County Pageant officials appreciate the participation of all the Junior Miss Stanly County Contestants. As a part of the Miss Stanly County Pageant which is a preliminary to the Miss North Carolina/Miss America Pageants, each of them have had a part in supporting the efforts of Shelly Burris, Miss Stanly County 2010, and Hailey Bates, Miss Stanly County Out-standing Teen 2010, as they compete for the Miss North Carolina titles in June 2010.
