    The Senior Citizens Club of Aquadale met Wednesday, Nov. 11, in the community building in Aquadale. Lois Blalock, president, welcomed everyone by reading, “A Time To Give Thanks” and “Thank You Lord for all things. The group sang “Come You Thankful People Come.”

    The Call to Worship Sunday at Ridgecrest Presbyterian Church was “Jesus Name Above All Names” followed by The Lord's Prayer and responsive reading. The hymn of praise was Great is Thy Faithfulness” and the Apostles Creed. The hymn “Standing on the Promises” was very beautiful.

    The Norwood Ministerial Association will host its annual Community Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Nov. 24 at First United Methodist Church in Norwood. This service of music, celebration, thankfulness and encouragement will be approximately one hour and is a great way to begin the Thanksgiving celebration in our community and family.

    At the 9:45 a.m. worship hour Nov. 15 all our veterans were honored by the pastor and congregation. John Bell gave a short talk concerning his military experience. Rev. Nolan was in charge of the Children's Time. The title of his morning sermon was “Can You Lose It,” and his scripture was from Hebrews 6:4-6 and 2 Peter 2:20-22.
    The 7 p.m. “Second Shift” service was a celebration for the Cameron Newell benefit.

    The members of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church will honor their pastor, Rev. Arnette Wall, with an appreciation service Sunday Nov. 22, at 3 p. m. The Rev. Andrew Davis of Pleasant Hill Church, Ansonville, along with his members and choir, will be the guest. Everyone is cordially invited to come out and join them in this great celebration.
