The children’s sermon Nov. 1 was presented by April Bowers and the scripture lesson was out of Matthew 7:1 – 12. The message was presented by Rev. David Cunha entitled, “The Sermon on the Mount – Community, Part 2.”

The Sunday morning message was presented by Rev. Richard Carlisle out of 2 Corinthians 10:12.

Praise the Lord for the two young men baptized this past Sunday: Jacob “Jake” Jordan, grandson of Steve and Crystal Bowers; and Dustin Helms, son of Randy and Brenda Helms, grandson of Stanley and Joyce Helms.

Nov. 15-22 — Baptist Children’s Home 2009 Annual Offering Week of Prayer. Please be in prayer about a commitment to support the home.

Visitation Challenge — Still looking for folks to go out visiting to share the gospel and to help grow the church. Meetings are 7 p.m. Thursdays,at the church. We will pray over the names we have and then go visiting. Please provide the pastor with names of people to visit. He will share with the visitation team which still needs members.

The adult’s sermon Nov. 1 was presented by Dr. Hal Bilbo out of Galatians 5:6 entitled “Faith & Love.”

Ted, David and Margaret have the month of November.

Armed Forces

Please remember our church members who are also in various Armed Forces and un-able to be here day to day because they are helping to protect us and this country. Members of St. Martin’s include: Travis Dry, at basic training in Fort Knox, Ky; Erik Frank serving out of the country of Pine Grove; Kyle Efird, stationed at Ft. Bragg in Fayetteville; Bradley Will-iams, stationed in Tenn.; and Mark Yow, serving in Iraq. Chris Lord, of Charity Baptist Church, is stationed at Ft. Riley, Kans. If you know of any other service personnel, please let me know.
