CLINTON — The Clinton Fire Department continues to investigate a garage fire.
Firefighters received a call at 2:03 a.m. Monday about a garage and vehicle on fire at 1836 14th Ave. South. Battalion Chief Frederick Roling said fire crews arriving at the scene could see flames coming from the garage.
The fire was under control within 10 minutes.
No one was injured in the fire, which caused significant damage to the garage, as well as some damage to the siding of a neighbor’s home. A 2005 Chevrolet Avalanche in the garage was a total loss. Roling did not know a dollar amount for the damage, but the garage was fully insured.
No one was injured in the fire. A cause has not been determined as the investigation continues. Roling estimated that it could take a couple of days to identify the cause.
