Fundraiser benefits Camanche students

(Continued)

Clements and many others have volunteered their time to the spaghetti supper for many years.

Friday’s spaghetti supper is expected to be well attended and Clements says there is good reason for that.

“It’s a really fun time and it’s for a very, very good cause,” Clements said. “And it’s very good spaghetti if I do say so myself.”

Cost for the annual meal consisting of all-you-can-eat spaghetti, garlic bread, coleslaw, a drink and dessert is $5 for adults, $4 for students and $3 for children 12 and younger with all the proceeds going to the scholarship fund.

Applications for the scholarship can be obtained from Camanche High School guidance counselor Danielle Sampson and must be turned in by March.

Clements and other volunteers will sort through all the applications and select those candidates who best fit the requirements of the scholarship and will announce the winners at the end-of-the-year senior awards banquet.
